DO YOU RENT YOUR COTTAGE?

Make Your Life Easier! The Cottage Kit
Do you rent out your cottage during the summer? Kids coming up with out you? Dysart Municipality has created "The Cottage Kit" to help cottage renters take the guesswork out of managing their garbage and recycling while they vacation in our beautiful area. Each kit contains a one-time use landfill Pass, one clear bag for garbage, two clear recycling bags for containers and one sturdy paper bag for recycling fibre products. Also enclosed in the Kit is a map showing the location of each landfill site, hours of operation and a list of disposal fees indicating what materials are accepted where.

Cottage Kits cost $3.00 each (or Ten Kits for $25.00).

They are available for purchase at the Dysart Municipal Office and our landfill sites.

ORANGE DROP

Motor Oil and Solvent Bottles, Household Batteries, Empty Propane Cylinders

Did you know that although motor oil bottles are recyclable, the contents itself is considered a hazardous waste and contaminates our recycling collection. Please do not include them with your recyclables!! Ditto for filters!  Orange Drop an industry-funded recycling program that allows the return of designated materials to local municipal depots. Please check with the landfill attendant regarding where to drop off household batteries, empty propane cylinders and empty plastic oil and solvent containers.
